Mr. Upul Siriwardhane is an accomplished Internal Auditor at Athugala Credit, with a wealth of experience spanning over a decade in the fields of accounting, auditing, and customer relations. With a strong academic background and practical expertise.

Before joining Athugala Credit, Mr. Upul worked as an Internal Auditor at Commercial Credit and Finance PLC starting in 2023. In this capacity, he was responsible for conducting comprehensive audits, evaluating internal control systems, and providing actionable insights to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. His role was key in maintaining the integrity of financial processes within the company.

Prior to his work in internal auditing, He spent over a decade in customer relationship management at Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. From 2012 to 2023, he held the position of Senior Customer Relationship Officer.

Earlier in his career, He gained extensive accounting experience at The Finance Company PLC, where he served as a Junior Accounts Executive for two years and later advanced to the role of Senior Accounts Executive for an additional two years. During this time, he developed strong skills in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and the preparation of financial statements.

Mr. Upul began his career as an Accounts Clerk at Boyagane Apparels (Pvt) Ltd in Kurunegala, where he handled day-to-day accounting tasks, contributing to the smooth functioning of the company’s financial operations.

Mr. Siriwardhane has continuously pursued professional development. He has completed the AAT Final Level and earned the National Certificate in English for Commerce, Industry, and Further Education, enhancing his communication and technical skills to complement his accounting expertise.

Currently, in his role as Internal Auditor at Athugala Credit, Mr. Siriwardhane plays a pivotal role in ensuring the transparency and accuracy of the company’s financial practices. His extensive background in auditing, accounting, and customer service allows him to bring a comprehensive, detail-oriented approach to his work.
