Mr. Nilupul Wijayarathna, with over 10 years of experience in the financial sector, currently serves as the Branch Manager for Athugala Credit's Kurunegala Branch, a position he assumed in April 2024. Nilupul joined Athugala Credit as a Senior Executive – Recoveries, where his dedication led to his promotion to Assistant Manager – Recoveries in the Kurunegala Branch. His expertise spans recoveries, credit and marketing, business development, and microfinance, making him a versatile leader in branch operations.
Nilupul began his career in 2014 at Commercial Credit & Finance PLC as a Marketing Executive. He then worked at Arpico Finance PLC from 2016 to 2019, serving as Officer In Charge of the Microfinance Department. He later expanded his industry experience with roles at Richard Pieris Finance in 2019 and Lakderana Investments in 2021.
An alumnus of St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala, Nilupul combines his local roots and industry experience to drive growth and provide quality service to Athugala Credit’s clients in the region.
