Dilan Gunarathne is a seasoned sales and business development professional with over two decades of experience spanning banking, insurance, regional sales management, corporate relationship management, and business development.
He began his professional career with NDB Bank, where he gained experience in banking operations and supported branch-opening and promotional initiatives. He subsequently held progressive sales and regional management positions at Janashakthi Insurance and Union Assurance, where he successfully led regional teams, strengthened customer relationships, expanded corporate portfolios, and delivered significant growth in premium income.
From 2016 to 2022, Dilan was involved in managing diverse family business interests, including Ranyuga Cabs, Ranyuga Events, and Ranyuga Travels. He later returned to the insurance sector as Assistant General Manager – Sales at SANASA General Insurance, before joining Asia International Consolidated as Group General Manager – Marketing.
At Athugala Credit and Investments Limited, Dilan is responsible for driving sales and marketing strategies, strengthening market presence, developing corporate and dealer relationships, and building high-performing sales teams. His hands-on leadership style and extensive experience in regional sales, market activation, and relationship management contribute significantly to the company's continued growth.
