Thusitha Bandara Jayasundara

Mr. Thusitha Jayasundara brings over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, with a strong background in development finance and community-focused initiatives. In his current role as Manager - Micro Finance at Athugala Credit, Thusitha has been instrumental in launching the Group Loan Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs, empowering female-led businesses and fostering economic growth in local communities.

Thusitha began his career in 2002 with the Devasarana Development Project, a livelihood development initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged communities, where he served as a Project Development Officer. In 2015, he joined Commercial Credit & Finance PLC as a Business Revolving Loan Officer, contributing to their community lending programs until 2017.

In 2017, Thusitha took on the role of Branch Manager at LOLC Finance PLC, where he successfully managed branch operations and led the core lending and microcredit portfolios until 2023. His leadership helped drive sustainable growth and financial inclusion for clients in the branch's service area.

An alumnus of Ibbagamuwa Central College, Thusitha was also a Head Prefect, demonstrating his leadership from an early age. Today, he continues to bring his dedication and community-centered approach to Athugala Credit, where he is responsible for overseeing and expanding microfinance initiatives.
